In the very small school the book cases are generally placed in the study hall and the' pupils have continuous access to the books, the study hall teacher or the principal usually exercises some slight supervision over the library. In the school of medium size the library frequently is housed in some separate room which is kept locked much of the time since the teaching force of the school is not large enough to allow of much library supervision.
