Excerpt from Annual Report of the Town of Alexandria: For the Fiscal Year Ending December 31, 1984 Article 8 makes it possible to replace one of our four-wheel-drive trucks with a smaller dual-wheel, four-wheel-drive truck with a hydraulically actu ated angling snowplow. The truck to be replaced is old and cannot be repaired so that it will hold up in the future. The new truck will be more versatile for snow plowing, especially around intersections. Article 9 recognizes the need for providing our Police Chief with a police car. We all recognize that we ask too much of a person, when we pay him as little as possible, and at the same time ask him to use his own car. The police cruiser which can be bought at the State bid is a Ford Crown Victoria. Article 14 asks the Town if it wants to cover its elected officials and regu lar employees with Social Security.
