In making my notes I have consulted, and not infrequently levied contributions upon other editions, and to explanations of a grammatical nature have added references to the grammars of Allen and Greenough, of Harkness, and of Gildersleeve (designated respectively A., H., and G.), but have used everywhere the nomenclature of A.
