New Carthage they lived on with the Romans. But the city became Roman through and through: its baths, its games, its monuments, its pursuits. The Third Legion was quartered there, and great and useful works were executed under their supervision. That there was intermingling of blood there can be no doubt. But in any given case we can not tell exactly how the matter stood. Did Cyprian have Carthaginian blood?
