To take a break from her controlling art gallery partner, Guin Stevens and two friends book a weeklong canoe trip into the wilderness of northeast Minnesota's Boundary Waters Canoe Area. Guin's mind is a jumble. She loves the city-its excitement, the hustle and bustle-but within the first few days of her trip she's truly enjoying the peaceful solitude of the North Country wilderness. As much as her feelings grow for Rick, their guide, she has a business three hundred miles away.
