It comes to the attention of computer giant Crowell Electronics that an employee who recently resigned has taken a similar job with bitter rival, Hunt Industries, taking sensitive information with him. Also, apparently a 'mole' within Crowell, is continuing to feed information to Hunt. The main suspect is Alistair Nolan, who has recently joined Crowell as a temporary design consultant. Beth Muir, highly trusted and the best there is in this field, is asked to become friendly with Nolan and gain his trust in order to become his partner in stealing information and selling it to Hunt. Reluctantly, Beth agrees. Little does she know that Nolan is tasked with making her hate him, so she won't mind putting him in prison when the FBI closes in on the sting. Also, little does she know that her 'partner', in addition to being the most obnoxious male on the planet, is the FBI agent setting up the sting.But, oh, those steel-blue eyes . . .
