Under this impression we have ventured to submit the following pages, and trust their utility may be acknowledged, we are desirous of explaining that they are not intended to supersede med1cal aid in anystage of the disorder, but that, on the contrary, we would impress upon our reader, if need be, the prudence of having immediate recourse to it in the earliest stages of the disease.
