But for fear we may hug delusions which would tend to make us too well satisfied with our selves and our Masonic ethics, I want also to show that our Masonic teaching and our Masonic practice falls short of attaining, not that absolute perfection toward which man is ever striving and ever failing to attain, but that perfection which rare spirits much in advance of the realized standard of their age have already attained.
