The language is French, and the words are so mis spelled and run together that it was not only hard to read, but difficult to translate. The signatures, of which there are many, are adorned with wonderful ¿ourishes. The localities mentioned in it are all connected with the early history of the Le Roys, which may partially explain the fact Of its being among their family papers.
