Efficient environmental governance, strong public awareness and effective cooperation and coordination between governments and environmental organizations and institutions are key elements for the protection of the Mediterranean Sea, just as it is for the preservation of the global marine environment. Many generations have enjoyed all the benefits of this beautiful sea and the Mediterranean shall be preserved to continue to be not only a source of fish and other natural and logistical benefits, but also a source of joy and inspiration for future generations.
