This assumption is not entirely justifiable, and the agreement between the calculated and the observed values for the very long seven is not sufficiently conclusive. One of the objects of this re search was to accumulate facts Which might possibly throv some light upon the problem. The data, hewever, in re gard to the dispersion of substances available for expor iment ere too limited to enable one to drew any conclu sions. It is hoped, nevertheless, that the few facts here added may at some time prove useful in the solution of the problem.
