The essential differ ence between the two lies in the fact that the former may adapt his hue to suit the object with which he is in contact. Our chameleon is not a reptile, but, because it variegates its color annually, and since it may change to meet any situation, this appellation is appropriated. No longer is this periodical an infant, it has grown, it must grow to better the standard set by its previous publishers.
