IT had its origin on an occasion when I heard Paul Scherer say that every Christian doc trine has its secular counterpart. I wondered if that is true of literature. Could such a statement be documented by the great literary works of our time? This book is my answer. Begun on a negative bias, it never overcame it. At least, not completely.
