It has, as we have seen, for Emplacement of its northernmost group the filyt'fizsgiifp' Hawaiian islands, for its groups westernmost central division the Ellice islands, for its southern extreme New Zealand, and for its eastern clusters the Marquesas islands and the Low archi pelago. The most easternly of all the points included at present within Polyne sia Preper are the Easter islands, lying just south of the Tropic of Capricorn, and about the 110th meridian W. From Greenwich.We may not, however, be long de tained with these hydrographical and ge ographoical considerations. Classification of It is W1th the races of men Polynesian Mon. That have made their way goioids' into these far Oceanic parts of the world that we are here concerned. We shall make the discussion of the Polynesians as general and as brief as possible, pre mising with the fundamental principle that the peoples in question belong most largely to the Brown races, and are classified as Polynesian Mongoloids, less largely to the Black division of mankind, the latter being found only in New Gui nea and in adjacent groups connected therewith.
