Excerpt from Women's Suffrage and National Danger: A Plea for the Ascendency of ManForemost among the reasons which I am about to com bat, both in respect of the frequency with which it is urged and the importance which is attached to it, is, I take it, the proposition that it is the ownership or occupation of property which alone gives the right to vote or, in other words, that the vote is attached to the property owned or occupied, and that therefore all consideration of sex is irrelevant.
